Those saying it can't be part of a 5.1 setup are wrong or have no eardrums. This thing is plenty loud in my open basement.

For $89 I put it in my 2.0 stereo setup. My Yamaha AS-500 has a sub out. Added I nice touch to my bottom end and looks good.

No reflection on adorama, they just sell the sub... but this thing is very weak. I bought it for the bedroom 5.1 setup and I have it in the closet. It's better than nothing but if you can find the Klipsch r-12sw for $149 that would be a much better choice. I am sending it back. They charging me $24.99 for a return fee shipping cost, but it's still worth the cost of returning it than keeping it

One nice thing about it is it is slim and takes up small amount of space compared to big boxy subs. I guess it would be good for a gaming computer setup

That's how much it is to ship it back? I was wondering if I made my decision to return them how much it would cost. That almost makes it worth just keeping them.

It's just that it is slim so it's nice to put in places the typical one would be too boxy. I have 3 Klipsch r-12sw subs I keep getting off Woot for $149 it's hard to like anything else for that price. This one I bought because of space in the bedroom and I can fit it nicely in the closet.

I sent an email to Adorama explaining my sub does not work periodically (it really doesn't) and they sent me a prepaid label. FYI

Well to follow up, after contacting Adorama, they sent me to the Manufacturer that owns Jamo now, which is Klipsch still under warranty they are sending me a new plate amp, so we'll see how this goes.

Go direct the the Manufacturer they will send you new plate amp if still under warranty. Try that.
