If you have a bathtub shower, then it's a PITA to turn on water and flip the divertor. The faucet has parts that will wear if you are constantly turning it on and off.
My shower head that I use has a variable pause button. Full stream to full pause, so you don't hurt your privates.

If you never had a handheld shower head, it is nice upgrade, but next level is to get one with a pause button.
