Get a usb stick and put ventoy on it. Digitally register the computer then wipe it with orm windows iso. Put the iso on the ventoy directory. Super easy. some of these chinacom PC use funky hardware so you may need to search for drivers but whatever you do don't get them from said chinacom website.
They will have hdmi or the like. Connect to monitor. I just bought a super powerful gen10 Dell laptop for 230 bucks with thunderbolt. I had to update the battery for 25bucks and clean it out. Use it for a workstation. Although with this one the screen in perfect shape.
Recently ordered the Beelink Minis 12 Pro Mini PC with N100 Processor W-11 Pro for $169 + tax on Amazon which has 16GB DDR4 & 500GB SSD.
They are like coke and pepsi all made in the same industrial park. So if there is an issue good luck. Some say beelink is better I disagree. Beelink and trigkey are same odm but when I had an issue with my beelink it took days for them to respond and the response was useless. The ser5 pro I had has a cheap bluetooth/wifi module and I replaced it with Intel and prob went away however the antenna setup is just horrible.
In any case they all suck and support is offshore so it's like Dell. Crappy. So don't spend more than a few hundred and if something goes south then you don't cry.
People try to grade the chinacom providers with reputation. it's like going to the dollar store and buying generic sugar. it's sugar but you have no idea where it came from and how it tastes. the components they use are generic and can change at a whim. So I say you are buying something at the dollar store.
$50 or so in Facebook and those will blow this out of the water but they aren't presentable and use more power. Luckily I have them hidden away in the closet. This is a good price though for a nice little machine you can carry with you. Why don't they add a cheap 720p cellphone LCD to this and make it a ring laptop, I don't get it.
8 GB Raspberry Pi 5 @ $85 shipped
Enclosure w/ fan & NVMe @ $61 shipped
Still need a specific wall wart @ ~$15 shipped
This seems more capable, cheaper, and pre-assembled.
You are correct. Rpi value prop is not there unless you need gpio or arm otherwise the n95 will wipe the floor with it with moderate more power.. I bought a bunch for harvester cluster for 120 so these prices right now are OK but this was a year ago when ssd were dirt cheap.
I did buy a 3+ to defeat region blocks from.netflix, Hulu etc for 35 bucks full setup so you can see used for a good price and it's 3 watts. money well.spent.
I bought a couple of paper boxes full of laptops (my company did a refresh and they were "unfixable" ). 1 I run as a media server ( no display with some USB external drives ) 3 I run as Kodi devices (no keyboard or display, one is just the mobo and heatsink with fan, the power button is directly on the board). I fixed some and gave them to family members I sold a few for a discount but to cover the cost of all parts.
We need to keep this stuff out of the landfill as long as possible.

You can buy a 2.5 usb adapter for 8 bucks. I put one on my 1200 Mac mini works just fine and goes full speed. Wish I paid the 100 bucks for the 10 gig but hey.

I will cancel it, This much better for sure
