Is this plastic or glass?

Edit: yeah seems to be plastic and a similar model at target has pretty bad reviews: https://www.target.com/p/bodum-34...group=72-8

edit 2: folks corrected me. Plastic. Super lame that bodum is using their name for it!

Incorrect. Both beaker and frame made of polycarbonate... which is plastic. I thought that the beaker was glass and frame was plastic... but no. Bodum specializes in french press coffee pots but we have to let them know .... inferior products only bring their name down.

Stay away.

It is clearanced out. Why bad quality? care to share your experience as this is from Bodum. No, instore pickup for me unless you sign-up with Walmart+ for free shipping.

No go for me, but would have if locally available.

Plastic and sound like the bad reviews are because it cracks and leaks.

Also, Looks like the included coffee is only 2 ounces.

I would only use this for cold brew since the beaker itself is plastic.

Great for cold brew, but grounds and water get between the frame and the insert. I can't get the insert out to clean so it looks gross.

I have a plastic Bodum Brazil sitting in the cabinet from way back before plastic became uncool. We bought it at Whole Foods! (pre-online shopping.) It wouldn't surprise me if removing plasticizers from the polycarbonate makes it more prone to cracking.

With that said, unless I suddenly become very serious about camping, I'd think about making do with a mesh strainer (and if I was very serious, I wouldn't pick this either.)

Actually. That plastic and glass Brazil model is badass. Why? Because the whole thing minus the plunger can go in the microwave.

All plastic isn't bad in every occasion. But what op has posted is decidedly crap.
