I have the previous gen. The 14X OLED with only 8GB of soldered RAM. I love this laptop, be prepared to get atrocious battery life. Not sure if that's fixed with the newest one but mine has a i5-13500H with 8GB of soldered RAM and I get about 3-4 hours of on screen time with 60Hz mode and all battery saving options on.

I missed the samsung trade in deal for their galaxy book 4 pro ($1449 msrp, $839 was my trade in price). Is this a good comparison to it? I am kinda in the samsung eco system but I don't think there's much samaung special thing on the their windows laptop.

14x is a completely different laptop, especially last generation.

Same happened to me, been eyeing the Samsung laptops because I'm really happy with their phone hw and support and I like the Galaxy Book design. I stumbled on this YT reviewer Andrew Marc who I'm really impressed with; very technical and shows all the data. During the Book4 Pro review he mentions this exact Asus as the one to get!

It's been proven an 8GB Mac doesn't outperform a 16GB Windows laptop. From an efficiency standpoint, Apple, but from a performance standpoint in this case, the ZenBook.

lol what? The graphics in these is still maturing with driver support but the m1 Air can't hold a candle to these newer Intels, unless you want Mac. In that case, saying an M1 would smoke this is like saying that a burger is far superior to pizza… depends on what you like or need.

Keep in mind this is the 60hz version. If you want the 120hz refresh rate, you will need to step up to the 15x (15.6 inch offering).
