If you are losing multiple sleeves per round (this isn't an insult, just what OP said earlier) then I completely disagree with this. Keep using the Nitros and get a couple lessons. Figure out your swing and tendencies then start looking at higher tier balls and clubs
Nitro golf balls are pretty low end, but it hasn't stopped me from buying them. I'm not on tour and don't play for money, so never felt the need to spend a lot of money on golf balls.
Kirkland are far superior in my opinion. Not sure if they have more spin or what the science behind it is. Nitros are decent but they seem to get destroyed a lot easier than most balls. They seem to have a shitty roll on the green as well. The kirkland balls are probably the best bang/buck. Also the wilson chaos are regularly a little under a doller per ball on amazon. I would use Kirkland > Wilson > Nitro as far as performance is concerned.

Anyone actually know if these have better distances then Kirkland balls? I'm new to golf and I know Costco balls aren't the best but I will lose about 2 sleeves a game 😂

I personally never played these but my guess these are not much better than a range ball. If you play often you want a better ball that gives you some feel. These probably feel like hitting rocks.

I second this comment. I tend to go for balls with lower compression ratings and lower spin for my game and I feel they've helped, especially off the tee. I read somewhere Kirkland balls have a slightly higher spin.

ProV1 > Maxfli tour (s or x) > Kirkland > any non eurathane cover ball.

I've used ProV1 and Nitro and the difference in my game is nominal. I've come to accept that I shoot 100 and will always lose balls in the woods/water. What's great about these balls is that they are so cheap, I don't feel bad about losing a ball. I highly recommend these. Plus the colors are easier to spot. Just be careful with the orange ones during the fall leaves.

At the end of a day, if a player is going to lose balls in the water and woods and shoot 100s, no ball is really going to benefit them.

However, for those who are in the above situation but want to continue improving and are in the headspace to better their game, experiment with different balls based on known facts like swing speed & feel preference could help. On top that that, you can find plenty of different kind of balls (profile-wise) for the same $.75/ball or so cost as a Nitro from sites like lostgolfballs. com, but actually use it to your advantage to learn your game and experiment.

Avid golfer here and also agree with the sentiment that V1s are simply the best, Kirklands are best bang for buck, non-urethanes are all pretty similar. The other difference is something like a soft feel with a low (30) compression if you play when its cold or have a slow swing speed. These little ball differences do bring about a different golf game, even to noobs.

Ksig balls are great for the average golfer, even the 3piece one. They just get a bad rep because of the Costco brand.

If you like that ball, getting AAAAA balls from used golfball sites like the Bridgestone E6, Callaway Supersoft, etc. are comparable balls for the $1/ball pricetag. Advantage here is they don't come with the stigma.
