You can prevent the candle smoking by cutting the wick short. Should be roughly 1/4 inch.
Lol what? Burning organic beeswax doesn't, also burning organic hemp wicks either.. lol

I have to crack a window.
Well these (and most modern candles) are made of paraffin wax, a petroleum byproduct.
I use a candle warmer lamp. I control how warm it is. And the amount of hours it's on. So it's never too much scent or smoke. And candles tend to last longer.
Trim the wick
