Props for all the detail.
But for me I had to keep the S&S else I lost the discount. Your instruction seemed to suggest changing the 5lb tub to one time purchase, but that lost the S&S for me.

$83.41 was my order total, plus a $25 Amazon credit.

So $58.41 after the credit.
Minus the $19.89 for the shakes
Make the protein powder $7.70/lb. Overall OK, but still kinda meh for me so not sure if I'll bite the bullet.

However, I have the 30% Discover not fully used - so that gave me another discount of $7.09.

Net protein powder cost is $6.63 which is a buy Smilie

Thanks for checking. Some users reported issues in the past with deals involving more than one items in the S&S, so had to change the instructions to add the items as One-time purchase and then change to S&S (The step 9 in the instructions is to change to S&S for the both the items).

Thanks! Odd that the shake got charged tax while the powder didn't. It's not considered food? LOL

States are inconsistent on sales tax for supplements. Indiana taxes them.

yah very inconsistent. This ON shake, Monster Milk shake, and Premier Protein shake all the have the Nutrition Facts label, which indicates food items (supplements have Supplement Facts label). Yet only the Premier Protein shake is tax-free, for me at least.

When will I get the $25 credit? I added $100+ worth of products to my cart, got the "your offer qualifies for $25 amazon credit" message at final checkout, and made my purchase, yet my rewards balance is still zero.

My total comes out to $80.83 with the items but I don't see the confirmation that the order qualified for the $25 credit. I redeemed the STOCKUP code on the product page and those products are indeed being sold by Amazon.com Services LLC. Anybody else experiencing this?

I saw a similar total, only a confirmation of "your offer qualifies for $25 amazon credit" , but I didn't see the $25 credit applied on the total. I placed the order anyways and don't see it anywhere in my Amazon account. Chatting with a rep.

If anyone has a proposal for how to turn this rebate into a good deal on protein powder, let me know and I'll do the math on it.

How did it turn out? My stuff was delivered today yet no credit. It was 100% there on checkout and my order qualified. Yet when I go back and do the deal again, the banner still shows up.

Terms: After shipment is complete, you will receive an e-mail from Amazon that indicates the dollar amount of the promotional credit and that the dollar amount of the credit has been added to your customer account. The e-mail will also provide instructions on how to redeem the promotional credit. Amazon reserves the right to modify or cancel the offer at any time. Offer is non-transferable and may not be resold. Offer discount will be allocated proportionally among all promotional items in your order. If any of the products or content related to this offer are returned, your refund will equal the amount you paid for the product or content, subject to applicable refund policies. If you violate any of these terms, the offer will be invalid. Unless an Amazon Gift Card is the stated benefit of the promotion, promotional codes (including those placed directly in accounts) may not be redeemed for Amazon Gift Cards.

Not the same as how I do my math - I distill most protein powder posts down to cents per gram of protein.

But, to run the numbers, I would need to have a sample buy that purchases only one type of protein powder and get a final price on that combination.

My gut is telling me that the result would be an okay, but not spectacularly good deal.

Some examples of my math are in the community wiki of this post.
