Put it this way, you're probably not going to find a laptop at this price point, especially touch screen, till Prime day or Black Friday, and that's IF it goes on sale. If you don't need a number pad or backlit, I'd bite. That USB 3.2 is pretty slick, display port and charging.

In other words, you're getting the future price right now instead of waiting, hoping it goes on sale months from now.

However, the reviews are pretty bad. So it's not all about the specs.
The refurbished version is $263.

This is a nice laptop for a majority of people. Perfect for a student.

Pros:
- Lots of features.
- Touchscreen if you need it.
- 16gb ram
- Newish processor (old processor made with new tech)
- USB-C Charging
- 512gb storage
- Comes with a protective sleeve.

Cons:
- Graphics could have been way better...
- I bought this "refurbished from Acer" on ebay, for $250 like 9 months ago. It came in mint condition.

I got the dell when it was for 399 recently. It's still under 90 day return. I picked up the acer in store for 349 on Friday. Comparing them side by side here are my observations:
Dell:
- Better Keyboard
- Better Speakers
- Slightly lighter

Acer:
- Keyboard and trackpad feel cheaper quality
- Somehow running quieter with less fan noise
- option for optimal battery charging in AcerSense (not sure if it stops battery charging at 80% to help with battery life

You could call it a DRAW! Walmart's laptop is a 5700 cpu (not the 5720) that Costco sells. The 5700 is about 10% to 30% faster, depending on the program. Additionally, the 5700 supports 32gb of ram. The 5720 only supports 16 gigs. However, the 5720 is more energy efficient. So battery life will be better. Additionally, the 5720 (Costo) has touch screen, but the one at Walmart does not! Costco has the 2 year warranty though. Walmart, you will have to pay about $50 bucks for it. So, it may be a wash.

It's Mendocino, so probably not.
Even though the name is misleading, the 7520U is not even close to being a bad CPU. It absolutely smokes my desktop 4th gen i7 that is still a solid CPU for day to day tasks, the 7520U is the equivalent of a Ryzen 3 5300U with a Zen 2 die shrink. The iGPU is much worse for gaming but it has AV1 decode in comparison to the previous Vega, so actually better for general use cases that do not involve gaming

I'm aware it's not even bad, I'm using Skylake for day-to-day computing after all. But I'm not impressed at $350 where it encroaches on faster options. Mosey on down to $150-200 and I'll consider it.

If they keep fabbing these chips for years on TSMC N6, it could go down in price. Otherwise, I want to see what "Sonoma Valley" can do in 2025+ (4x Zen 5C cores, known to be "platform compatible" with Mendocino):

I haven't found anyone's take on the Costco Dell 15.6 Ryzen 7 deal that starts today for $499 + $15 shipping.

It has 16gb, touch, backlit keyboard, and a 1 tb ssd.

Is it worth the upgrade over this deal?
Considering the Dell vs. this Lenovo:

Any opinions?
