The 10L had liquid cooling, etc. just like the newer model, 45L.

You could have purchased from any other company instead of buying a PC that is such a small size. I wasn't making a comment that you should have purchased the 45L at the time you purchased the 10L, it's a comment of saying that you aren't going to have the same problems with you decide to buy the 45L as your next computer. All you had to do was get a PC that's >25L and you probably wouldn't have had these problems, or as significant.
And just because the 10L (again, can't find it, only found the Victus 15L or an ASUS ROG Compact 10L) and it has water cooling doesn't make it as good as other water cooling solutions out there. An obvious one is the size of the water cooler radiator (120, 140, 240mm, etc.). Another one is the thickness and density of the radiator. Another is fan clearance. If you have fans pressed up against a surface, they can't blow as much air. Another is just general air flow of the case. And then of course there's the quality of the actual water cooler and fans but those aren't things you can easily gauge without looking at reviews, what I listed are constraints made by having a smaller case. I'm sure there's more. All problems that arise from buying a 10 liter case (or any small form factor case) and things you should have been aware of prior to making the purchase.

Overheating was definitely a problem and we did indeed move to a larger case, replaced and increased the volume of fans with Noctua fans.
This was all right during the GPU shortage, merely finding a system was enough of a challenge. I mistakenly thought that I'd at least have a solid foundation of parts. The Omen line was riddled and well documented to have issues. I was in Amazon Vine, so I actually got the system prior to the official release, no reviews existed yet.
The entire experience turned me off the product line. They may have solved these issues now.

Edit: If I am understanding correctly, you guys moved all of the components from the old Omen case and installed it into a new case and also installed new case fans? If that's the case, you and your son can try to build the next PC. It's definitely a daunting task from the part selection to dealing with the warranty/troubleshooting but you'll save some money and also never have to deal with poor manufacturer's prebuilts. Another solution of course is using your knowledge to just buy another prebuilt and just doing enough to improve any shortcomings that it may have as you already have.
