Just use 0w-20. Your car will never know, other than a little less wear.

this is a slickdeal.
it basically is $3.20 per quart before tax.
costco motor oil and mobil 1 oil is pretty close in my opinion... you can do your own research.
unless you're driving a super fancy car that requires specific brand. For a regular citizen, these costco motor oil will satisfy 99% of the drivers out there.

sure the days of the getting a rebate from mobil1 seems to rare now... I recalling basically buying $12 for 5-qtr jug of mobil1 motor oil after rebate... those days seems to be gone with inflation...

now $16 a jug... still not that bad.

~in case some are wondering how long these motor oil will last, if keep unopen. They will last 7 to 8 years when kept unopen indoor with a normal temperature condition.

No 40 weights available, which is what many European cars take. Most Costco shoppers are higher income they can afford more expensive cars. My local Costco has plenty of BMWs, Mercedes, and Porsche. Come on Costco, make it happen

Does anyone know, this Costco synthetic oil is comparable to which one: Pennzoil Full Synthetic OR Pennzoil Platinum Full Synthetic?

And they're not part of Costco for the savings.

It's been decades since I've seen a good comparison test among synthetic oils. How does Kirkland stack up?

ProjectFarm did a video [youtube.com]on Kirkland oil. Enthusiasts also did one [youtube.com].

TLDR is yes it's perfectly fine. The vast vast vast majority of people will be perfectly fine with Kirkland oil. Unless you have a supercar.

Those are also ACEA, Porsche, Mercedes, VW etc. approved oils. Totally different price point than these cheap API SP/dexos1 engine oils.

You can find those specs on Mobil 1, Pennzoil Ultra, Castrol EDGE, etc. not usually on Supertech or others like Kirkland which are bargain basement synthetics.

Closest you'll get is a Kirkland diesel 15W-40 CK-4 fluid but that really isn't meant for your Porsche.

Love this oil. got in on a deal awhile back with 2 packs of 5Q jugs. Fortunately both of our vehicles take 0W20. Just so happens the volume in these jugs is exactly the correct amount for both vehicles.

It'd be cool if he ran these through a hot turbocharger and showed us which one has the least deposits.
