This is a fantastic price for a fantastic game. Pandemic plays very well as a solo game. Personally, I find that it plays better as a solo game as there is a tendency in games where there are large discrepancies of skill and personality for the strongest player to end up directing the actions of the other players.
Hint for those that find it too hard/complicated: The game is designed to distract you into thinking that you need to remove disease cubes to win. Don't get distracted from the win condition of curing the diseases. Especially in later rounds you often will need to let outbreaks occur in order to have enough actions/turns to cure all four diseases.

I wonder if it would have gone over well when the pandemic started if someone immediately released a board game where if you lose on the game you get the virus.
Wow! 15 for pandemic?! amazing price and an amazing cooperative or solo game! decently easy to learn and great to play with others. I recommend this game as the gateway to other board games.

This one and splendor are classics
Usually these discounts mean a new revision is going to be released. But i don't feel that should hold anyone back from buying it.

Have you played Splendor Duels? I think it is more enjoyable than regular Splendor.

Hopefully they change the theme. I feel like trying to manage a pandemic hits a little too close to home these days. I used to get a lot of play out of my copy but not wanting to relive the past has significantly impacted people's willingness to play this now.

There's no indication that there'll be a revision.
However If you're looking for a similar mechanic, I'd suggest looking into these solo/coop games
- "The Spill" - an ocean oil rig exploded and the goal is to contain crude oil from spreading.
- Flash Point: Fire Rescue, work as firefighters to manage fires by containing or rescuing objectives.
- Commissioned by Chara Games, plays as an inverse style of pandemic in which you're managing the spread of influence (the Gospel)

I got Star War: The Clone Wars which is based on the Pandemic system but without the theme. It does some things I enjoy a bit better than the original Pandemic and I'm able to get it to the table a lot more often.

That's a fair point. The game has been out for a long time and has held its value quite well. But yes! It shouldn't back others from getting it because 15 is a steal
