I played this game before the Pandemic and then we all lived it.. I can say that I have lost interest in this game. BUT! It has been one of my favorites in the past and works well for families that like playing together and not against each other!

This is a great game for fun cooperative family play. It has won many awards, before COVID including 2009 Golden Geek Best Family Board Game. The expansions are excellent also but the base game is all you need and I would only recommend the expansions if you want longer games and more challenge. The game requires you to coordinate with other players to optimize your moves and maximize your teams effectiveness. If you fail to do that, you loose once you run out of cards to draw. It is a lot of fun and I cannot recommend it enough.
The iPad version is excellent as well if you want to play alone or with your spouse without having the trouble of getting out all the pieces.

My wife bought it for me for Christmas 2019. I never opened it. I finally got rid of it this year. Don't need to play a game for that ever.

I like that there's different modes, and it's not necessarily an easy game. It's the players vs the disease/pandemic/epidemic

I love this game, you need a really good strategy to stop the spread. Be aware that a lot of the setbacks overlap so much with what some people did during the actual pandemic. And yes, it's an educated coincidence, since this game it's way older than the 19 pandemic but we know how viruses and bacterias behave and how not so smart people behaves.
