For anyone who wasn't aware and is subscribed to PlayStation Plus Extra (or Premium), this game is part of the Games Catalog so you already can play it for free.
Absolute must play and definitely the most video game as art game I've ever played. Very emotional as well.
If you haven't played this game, just play it. There's a reason it's so critically acclaimed. The remastered version made an incredible experience ever better.
This was the first game that made me feel video games weren't just mindless entertainment but a form of art. These types of games won't resonate with everyone but for those that do, its a masterpiece.
For a game to still command this sale price and an MSRP of $20 decades later, that should tell you something. I can think of only a handful of games that can do that.
I signed up for ps plus ONLY 1 month too late and JUST missed the ps4 version for free, many years ago. It had been included for the MONTHLY games. However, I found a disk ps4 version at GameStop for $13, my preference anyway
part of the reason I got a Steam Deck was to play the PS2 version of this (the OG) on the go and it runs perfectly. Then I did Remote Play of the PS4 version via chiaki4deck and that was a blast to.
I think I play this game at least once or twice a year since it came out almost 20 years ago and have owned every version (PS2, PS3 Ico/SOTC combo, PS4).

The irony would be if they bring it to PC but not for the Canadian market?
Lol.
But yeah. I agree. I no longer have PS consoles and would love me some of this on PC.

I claimed it, played it, and deleted it.
And now, it's telling me that it's locked behind PS Plus Extra. Does anybody know why or when that changed?

Absolute masterpiece of a game.
The best way to play is PS4 Pro or PS5. The PS3 3D, even with perfect setup is still basically a gimmick. Playing in 4k is truly breathtaking.
(Note PS4 disc is the same disc for PS4 and PS5)
