To run it online, click the Fork button and create or sign in to a free Replit account. After you're signed in, click My Repls in the menu and find activate_radio. Finally, click the green Run button and enter your Radio ID when it asks for it (no other personal information needed). It will display a whole bunch of text, including an error message or two, but that's normal. As long as you see Success in there somewhere, it may have worked.
Leave your car turned on for 5-15 minutes in view of the sky and your radio should be activated. If not, try it again once or twice as the activation process can be a bit unreliable. If it still doesn't work after that, you're probably out of luck.

You can transfer it to whatever car replaces the car with your Sirius subscription. I saw it on the app or on the website. It looked pretty easy. Had I known that when I was signing up, I would have taken the extra 2 years they were offering.
If you're in California, it *is* illegal to not allow cancellation via online methods if you were able to sign up via those same online methods. I pasted the law at the bottom of this message. While it used to be impossible for me to cancel a SiriusXM account without endless running in circles, the past two times I've been able to click a button in the "Account" section and cancel without having to talk to chat or get on the phone. If you live in CA and can't just click a button, you absolutely can file a claim, though that process is clearly more involved than cancelling an account, so the choice is yours on that. Still, in CA at least (maybe other states as well?), it IS *technically* illegal.
"The revised law (California Assembly Bill 390) requires businesses to comply with two additional requirements for cancellation and notice:
Cancellation: Online consumers must have the ability to cancel their subscription immediately, and be able to do so through either (1) a "prominently located direct link or button" on the website or (2) a preformatted email that the consumer can send to terminate the subscription without taking any further steps. This requirement is more specific than the previous "easy-to-use mechanism for cancellation" and was implemented to prohibit "further steps that obstruct or delay the consumer's ability to terminate" the renewal.
Notice: Businesses will be required to send a more robust notice as to free, discounted or promotional pricing that lasts more than 31 days. Specifically, the notice must clearly and conspicuously disclose that the subscription will automatically renew, the length of the renewal period, how to cancel, and the contact information for the business. If the initial trial period lasts for one year or longer, the notice must be provided between 15- 45 days before renewal. Otherwise, notice must be given between 3-21 days.

" Sorry, your radio is not eligible for that offer."
We're talking a subscription service and the methods of which to cancel (in California). Nobody is talking about downtime, technical issues, or otherwise. I've also included the verbage for renewals (again, in California).
Might I suggest re-reading everything again...?

You nailed it, they don't want to. If you have to talk to someone a percentage of people will let it keep charging. Yep it happens.
Plus each time you try to cancel they will throw promotions at you. So instead of the customer hitting cancel they can try to at least get some money from them.
Chatted with agent saying give me the $3 deal or cancel. Agent said they would "honor the deal" and switched instantly. Hope process took ~5 minutes. Thanks OP!

I chatted with the rep online, and stated I wanted this exact promo. He said he will look into offers, and quoted me a plan for $5.99/month (plus fees/taxes) , and I said.... no I want the $2.99/month, and even said it's on their official website.
He responded he will give me As a one time courtesy, the $2.99/month rate.
So Long story short, say you want this plan, and don't give in to them trying to upsell you. If the 2016 or older car model requirement is true, then you'd need to obviously meet those requirements.
Awesome Price at $3/month
