Definitely YMMV on the infinite free trials trick, but it's worth giving it a try in exchange for free Platinum (you just have to repeat the process every 3 months). The link below lets you run the script online, or you can click through and download it to your computer.

To run it online, click the Fork button and create or sign in to a free Replit account. After you're signed in, click My Repls in the menu and find activate_radio. Finally, click the green Run button and enter your Radio ID when it asks for it (no other personal information needed). It will display a whole bunch of text, including an error message or two, but that's normal. As long as you see Success in there somewhere, it may have worked.

Leave your car turned on for 5-15 minutes in view of the sky and your radio should be activated. If not, try it again once or twice as the activation process can be a bit unreliable. If it still doesn't work after that, you're probably out of luck.

I don't think you know what a fact is. 🤔
Not today satan. Never again will I deal with SiriusXM

You can transfer it to whatever car replaces the car with your Sirius subscription. I saw it on the app or on the website. It looked pretty easy. Had I known that when I was signing up, I would have taken the extra 2 years they were offering.

I have 3 days left on my 3-month free trial. I tried to sign up for this online, but it did not allow it. I also chatted with an agent, but he also could not offer it. I guess I am leaving for good.
if you don't mind the 3 month time period...there is a deal for Platinum service of 3mo for a $2 processing fee.

My last promo ends May 1st. Tried to chat on 2 different occasions, and was denied both times for my 2022 car. Different reasons each time. I'll try a few more times, but also fine staying cancelled.

Quote from You Cedarva :
Just to add a note here about making comments about "it's not illegal" ...

If you're in California, it *is* illegal to not allow cancellation via online methods if you were able to sign up via those same online methods. I pasted the law at the bottom of this message. While it used to be impossible for me to cancel a SiriusXM account without endless running in circles, the past two times I've been able to click a button in the "Account" section and cancel without having to talk to chat or get on the phone. If you live in CA and can't just click a button, you absolutely can file a claim, though that process is clearly more involved than cancelling an account, so the choice is yours on that. Still, in CA at least (maybe other states as well?), it IS *technically* illegal.

"The revised law (California Assembly Bill 390) requires businesses to comply with two additional requirements for cancellation and notice:

Cancellation: Online consumers must have the ability to cancel their subscription immediately, and be able to do so through either (1) a "prominently located direct link or button" on the website or (2) a preformatted email that the consumer can send to terminate the subscription without taking any further steps. This requirement is more specific than the previous "easy-to-use mechanism for cancellation" and was implemented to prohibit "further steps that obstruct or delay the consumer's ability to terminate" the renewal.

Notice: Businesses will be required to send a more robust notice as to free, discounted or promotional pricing that lasts more than 31 days. Specifically, the notice must clearly and conspicuously disclose that the subscription will automatically renew, the length of the renewal period, how to cancel, and the contact information for the business. If the initial trial period lasts for one year or longer, the notice must be provided between 15- 45 days before renewal. Otherwise, notice must be given between 3-21 days.
Unless SiriusXM removed the option, a court ruled temporary periods (mostly due to technical problems, upgrades to the site and temporary downtime for some features) does not violate the law.

I have no clue what you're talking about about or how it relates to anything being said in this entire thread.

We're talking a subscription service and the methods of which to cancel (in California). Nobody is talking about downtime, technical issues, or otherwise. I've also included the verbage for renewals (again, in California).

Might I suggest re-reading everything again...?

Really blows my mind that after all these DECADES, SiriusXM still hasn't figured out how to add a cancelation option (or don't want to)

You nailed it, they don't want to. If you have to talk to someone a percentage of people will let it keep charging. Yep it happens.

Plus each time you try to cancel they will throw promotions at you. So instead of the customer hitting cancel they can try to at least get some money from them.

I think it's hilarious people are still giving them money. SiriusXM decided decades ago their customers don't matter. They haven't updated their infrastructure in decades. I mean, if you like listening to low bitrate mono audio in your car..........
Streaming via app provides higher bitrate

Currently on a $5/month for 12 months deal. 2019 vehicle. WA if that matters.

Chatted with agent saying give me the $3 deal or cancel. Agent said they would "honor the deal" and switched instantly. Hope process took ~5 minutes. Thanks OP!

Success for me on my 2020 Model Year radio. Currently active on another promo.

Opened a chat with them when trying to cancel online to get the deal and it went like this:

"Upon checking I see that you are eligible to get a promotion at a very low price and for you to justify your usage

*$8.99 plus fees and taxes per month good for 12 months,
*With bundled streaming.
*That's 62% discount from its standard price!
Let me send the monthly breakdown for this.
Subscription Fees
$8.99
US Music Royalty Fee

No thank you.

No thank you. Your best rate is $2.99 a month for 36 months.

Awesome promo. I used to do the "call in yearly to cancel" game, had the platinum package. Did no listen to really any live sports or Howard Stern, so no real reason to keep it, even at a decent price of around $10/month (usually get that deal when I say I'm canceling). They were going to charge $33/month at the end of this month because the promo price would have been a year.

I chatted with the rep online, and stated I wanted this exact promo. He said he will look into offers, and quoted me a plan for $5.99/month (plus fees/taxes) , and I said.... no I want the $2.99/month, and even said it's on their official website.

He responded he will give me As a one time courtesy, the $2.99/month rate.

So Long story short, say you want this plan, and don't give in to them trying to upsell you. If the 2016 or older car model requirement is true, then you'd need to obviously meet those requirements.

Awesome Price at $3/month
