Sam's Club Severn, MD has the Meta Quest 2 128 GB bundle, which includes a headstrap with battery, for just $99.31. On Clearance.
Not available online or on the app. YMMV
Facebook would never start to slowly discontinue support less than a year after selling these things for peanuts to clear off the shelves for a newer cheap $300 Metal Quest 3 Lite.
They're doing this out of the kindness of their hearts of course.
What's the main benefit of Quest 3? More processing power so it can do AR. Also better graphics?

Better lenses, so the your entire field of view is in focus, rather than just the center. Color and higher resolution passthrough for mixed reality games (the Quest 2's passthrough is lower resolution and black and white), also more processing power and slightly higher resolution for better graphics.
In my opinion, if you're only interested in PCVR and have no interest in mixed reality, the only benefit is the new lens, and that's probably not worth spending $300 more.

3 is clearer...2 has a sweet spot that is smaller. With 2 an upgraded head strap really helps lock in that visual sweet spot.
I have and use both the 2 and 3...Both need upgraded headstrap and face pad.
I prefer the 3, but imho the 2 is realllllllly close. The 3 does look clearer, no doubt, but the 2 is still close. Graphically the 3 is better, but I barely notice it.
Some games do use the pass through on the 3...I tried a few, but I don't play those games. Also some games are enabling pass through for background. Imho it's not a must have, but it is neat.
I use pcvr for some games, but most of the time I don't use pcvr. Pcvr is not necessary for most games, because they play fine on the head set. Ofcourse pcvr games do look better.

At $100 the 2 is worth it!
I got the 64gb at $200 new a year a go.
So if you have the 2, then it's best to wait for "4"?

Imho the 3 is an upgrade, but not $400 better than 2. Whether or not the 3's better lenses and clearer passthrough are worth the upgrade is up to you.
The passthrough on the 2 is garbage.
The 3 passthrough is usable, but not perfect. It works fine for those games made for it. I just don't use it, but it is neat. It adds more vr experiences.
I can use the 2 or 3 for about an hour, before I need a break and my head feels wonky...the 3's clearer lenses haven't helped in that reguard.
Pcvr gaming is noticably better graphically on 2 and 3.
I'm sure the 3 is graphically stronger than 2, but I don't really notice a huge difference.
The 3's clearer lenses are more noticable than the graphics...God rays are eliminated on the 3 too. I still get some light bleed and reflections on 3's lenses when near strong lights.
To me the 3 is a step up, but the 2 is still good.
I don't think it is. This Sams Club one has the Elite battery strap, and I think Target is just the base headset
That strap is not good anyway in my opinion. I bought one at Target for $35 using the $50 gift card and returned it.
Uncomfortable and didn't like the charge port on the bottom so you couldn't charge it in the case.
The Kiwi Elite strap for $25 on Amazon is much better. I just added a slim 25,000 mAH battery($15) I already had to it and get much longer battery life.
Doesn't look like anyone found this deal, other than the OP from Reddit, regardless.
