WTF is that abomination? And it uses D cell batteries!

I might buy it but I've been successful at completely eliminating C and D batteries from my life and don't plan on going back.

It'd be a rude awakening when a 1.5 pound flashlight falls onto your face from a light breeze :'D

I have 2 of these for camping. I use an adapter. It uses 2 rechargeable AA for each D size. Works well, but usually doesn't last through the night.

If you like to tinker AliExpress sells inexpensive "USB to D Cell Battery Eliminator Cable" that lets you convert the battery connector to a USB connector you can plug into a USB battery power bank or wall charger. This would let you use this fan/light in your USB environment. Perfect for van life.
I've also done something similar with a few devices that take 3 AAA batteries by just cutting the USB end off an ancient mini-USB cable that I no longer use. Then, I strip the ends off the leads and wedge them tightly between the corresponding connections with a space filler like an old bolt or clipped off section of a pencil. The first time I tried it was with one of the freebie blue LED puck lights from Harbor Freight. It works great for devices that use three batteries since the 5V lines up very closely to the 4.5V expected. That doesn't regulate the voltage at all though, so could potentially overload devices that only expect 3V (although basic devices like lights and fans are often pretty tolerant of various voltages, so I might experiment with it on something cheap.) Smilie

Then, I can use the devices with a few random cheapo USB battery packs. I've gotten some small Onn ones on sale at Walmart for $4 and picked one up at a thrift store for $2 once.

Yep this thing is hot garbage and I actually placed it in the garbage when cleaning out the garage yesterday. The light works better than the fan. But yea I'm not packing a bunch of batteries for camping trips!

I had bought the energizer rechargeable fan from Amazon in August 2022 for 50% off at $10. Love that product.

Not buying any of this company's products. I needed a replacement part for a stove and they said they don't have any, any replacement parts. Their products are throw away as soon as they break.

This is good timing. Just getting ready for a camping trip. I did read the negative feedback, but I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with it.
