We are well into the second year on the first set of batteries. These cameras can also be powered by usb if you don't want to use the batteries

I still have some Blink XT2 cameras I'm using. Should/could I use these within the same app/module to manage, or would it be better to keep separate? I don't plan to use a subscription if that makes a difference.

Not sure about these specific cameras, but if it's like the flood light camera it won't work with the online storage if you have the old free plan. So if it comes with the sync module 2 it will be better to setup as it's own zone and use a USB to do local storage if you don't want to do a subscription. Supposedly though if you have an actual grandfathered plan newer camera will work with the online storage, but just because you have free online storage does not mean you have a grandfatherd plan as I found out.

The night vision is blurry with 1080p.

This is more like a hidden camera without any lighting and sound; no deterrence whatsoever.
