If you find yourself in a position where you NEED to charge AND keep playing, I guess there's no replacement, but with the Razer I feel like I get 12ish hours. If I'm burning through that, I could probably use a break. Passively charging it when I put it where it goes is just good quality of life. No cords, no plugging stuff in. Wait for a sale maybe, but I think I got mine somewhere between 25-30 bucks.

1. Batteries sit flush with the controller and look like they match the quality of the device vs cheap Chinese stuff
2. Official batteries have zero issues with charging stands whereas 3rd party ones do
3. If anything happens in the first year with battery discharge Microsoft will send you a replacement
4. No one wants to recharge batteries and then insert them into a controller this isnt 1995, for both my PS5 Pro and Series X i have charging stands. When you are done playing you just stick it right on the stand and walk away. When you come back it's ready to be used and it has stopped charging with charging protection.
Whoever is using regular batteries to save money or get a couple extra hours of play time (as if 8 hours wasnt enough lol) is doing it completely wrong - life's too short to deal with extra hassles when you are playing a game where you are supposed to be having fun not worrying about your batteries and their charger and if you have a set ready to go.
But everyone does what's best for them im just telling everyone what is the CONSENSUS best of all - pro players that compete for money use these packs charged up and swap - let that tell you all you need to know. They can use crazy batteries with extra capacity or other solutions, Microsoft doesnt pay them, yet they still use them....hmmm wonder why?
