I'm in CNJ. YMMV. Mine was always closer to the house in the garage, which is insulated.
And have monitored temperature. Inside temperature has never dropped beyond the operating temperature of the unit (-5f to 105F).
I can do without a lot of nice things, but if I can just have a nice refrigerator in this life I'll be pretty happy.
