I'm going to ask the question everyone hates when a fridge deal pops up.

Can I put this in my garage in Northern NJ? It looks like it has a seasonal temperature setting. Will that do it?

I've had non garage rated freezers in my garage for almost a decade.

I'm in CNJ. YMMV. Mine was always closer to the house in the garage, which is insulated.

And have monitored temperature. Inside temperature has never dropped beyond the operating temperature of the unit (-5f to 105F).

I think you're outta luck on freight, unless you can find a store near you who stocks these. My guess is that you won't; I've never seen full sized appliances at any Walmart store. Still a nice deal at $400 for a decent sized basic refrigerator freezer. For the $50 you don't have to drive across town, wait in line, load it, tie it down, and unload it. So you're getting at least something for your shipping fee.

But you worry about damage during shipping, which Walmart is known for. Hopefully, this private shipper is better. Never sign for it unless it's removed from packaging and inspected (if there is a signing requirement).
