That sub would be $45 at Jersey Mikes.
When I quit 3 years ago, I was making $25 as a team leader (pay cap is ~$1-1.50 higher than most nonleadership positions like stockers and deli workers). Also possibly worth mentioning that they give their full time employees an additional 8% of their pay every year as stock (so their pay rate is effectively 8% higher than their paycheck, which will amount to ~$1.25-$2/hour extra for most hourly positions). The past few years, I've made ~$3000 annually off the dividends of said stock without even working there. From what I've seen, their employee compensation is one of the best in the grocery industry.
$7.99 is a hell of a deal for what they are though. Not quite as good as something like Firehouse or Jersey Mike's, but it's also half the price. You're paying Subway prices for a way better sandwich with significantly more meat and better ingredients all around.
Since they raise only CEO c suite pay and no one else. The most worthless of worthless beings of the company and do nothing's but bankrupt it get paid the most

I like Mikes but it's over $10 for an 8" #9 made Mikes Way with the addition of the Red Pepper Relish.
Add chips and a drink and you're in the Home Cooked Rib Eye Steak price..
