these look nice but made of melamine which from what I can see has very little heat resistance. Ideally you'd want a tray that can sit on the grills shelf. temp resistance of 160 F is too low IMO

Yeah definitely an interesting choice of material. It seems like they are trying to make a product that doesn't need to be made. Metal baking pans (that most people have) work great.

Why not just buy a baking pan and use it then

Use cookie sheets, they're more durable and have multiple uses.

The only real advantage I see is the melamine is a bit easier on knives if you need to do some cutting. Well, I guess they 'look' better than metal if you use it to serve to the table.
I prefer to use wood board with a blood groove, but a quality one of those is $$$.

I'm another vote for baking sheets. These are uni-taskers(using Alton Brown's word) and are just going to take up space. Haul the food out on baking sheets and if you want to display it nicer when cooked...offload it onto a nice platter.
But honestly, if you have folks at your BBQ that are too good for baking sheets, then you need better friends.

I've got a set of these that I got for Father's Day -- I actually like them quite a bit; it's nice having two that easily stack. I would load one up with prepped meat and then take them out to the grill or smoker, and then have a clean one ready to go for when the food is done, so no worries about running back in and washing a tray or cross-contamination. Pops right in the dishwasher so easy cleanup, and the grooves at least somewhat seem to help for resting meat (at least air can get to it underneath then).

baking pan or cookie sheet ftw, more versatile, can take the heat and will last longer

These aren't for grilling, these are for prepping and carrying meat to and from the grill (that's why they are different colors).

I have the 2 of these from Costco. They are pretty handy. I do cut the roasts or whatever and much easier on knives that a SS baking sheet.

Plus they don't get super hot.
