The keys are no longer proprietary with their latest refresh, it comes with 2 standard keys now that you can make copies of. I ordered from Amazon yesterday and just installed it this evening.

Ehh I like the products but they don't support WPA3 and the tried gaslighting everyone here the exploits found. I wouldn't trust them for a lock.

The one linked in the OP has Wifi built-in and doesn't require the additional separate bridge

I have this and it's great. Do some yard work or leave the house it autolocks but at the same time you can get back in easy with fingerprint. If you have any problems you can use a back up code. If you have cleaners you can set a specific time for access and code just for them. Relatives visiting can get in and out of house without issues. Has a special hard to duplicate half cylinder key. Honestly can't go back and kind of want another.

Eufy is by far the worst tech product I own. I have the cameras, door bell, and smart locks. I'd recommend none of them.
What would you recommend?

I had this for 2 years , works well but I have water inside the keypad or some type of peeling makes it look ugly. It still works fine. Reviews show the photos of this so it's a known issue…

I've had this lock for about a year now. The lock needs woken up before a fingerprint or code can be used. Waking up requires tapping on a number then waiting for a few secinds until the numbers illuminate. Once it's woken up it works great, but before that, youll be waiting for it to become responsive.

I thought the issue must be with my lock as it doesnt make sense that they wouldnt catch it during their testing, but Eufy even sent me a replacement lock under warranty and the replacement had the same issue. Apparently they don't poll the screen often in order to conserve battery, so it registers the touch whenever it next polls.

Other than that, the lock is super quiet, which I like. When it is ready for a fingerprint it's very fast to read it. If you try and open the door too quickly before it's done unlocking, the pressure of the deadbolt on the wood of the doorjam will be enough to stop it from unlocking because the motor is not strong enough.

Anyone has the auto lock time setting program? Mine will only auto lock in 3 mins, no matter what time (30sec, 1min) you set it for

I highly recommend not buying their digital locks. I have several and am disappointed with all of them. Better to buy a digital lock from a lock company, like Schlage, than a digital lock from a camera/tech company.

I wonder what the lock picking lawyer would say about this lock! Usually smart locks have terrible safety features from a real lock perspective.

I've had mine for 3 years (2 locks), and never had any issues with fingerprint unlock.
I never use the numpads but only fingerprints. I just approach the lock, lay my index finger on it and it just opens.
It autolocks after few secs. Battery lasts about 9-12months per charge.

I've had this for about a year and it works fine. As another poster mentioned the "1.3 second unlock" is after it's in an awake state so don't expect to walk up and the door immediately be ready to unlock. I also have it connected to Home Assistant and it locks every time my door is shut via a Ring contact sensor. I believe this helps save battery because it doesn't need to keep the accelerometer active at all times. Would recommend.

Theres also a slot for USB charger to plug in I believe.

Downside is the keys are proprietary so not sure how easy they are to copy. Definitely not Schlage / Kwikset keyset nor do they appear to be swappable
I went to Home Depot for extra keys and they were able to copy for me for my garage deadbolt lock when I installed this s230 unit, love it

Had the silver one for almost 2 years and never used the key. Works great with Alexa for locking. Battery lasts for quite a long time and charges in a few hours. Low battery warning notifications too. Able to set codes and access times for each user ie: pet sitter or cleaning service 9am-3pm. Notifications for user lock/unlock and invalid unlock attempts. Auto lock settings for after ~ minutes after unlock or at set time of day.
Only issue I've had is sometimes will show unlocked when locked and when attempting to lock remotely will give a lock jammed error. Even though it's locked. Only concerning if away from home for a long period. Otherwise this is a fantastic lock if your using eufy system or just want a smart lock. Downside is it doesn't connect to Homelink or other smart hub systems.
Exactly my same experience with the occasional locking issue. However, I always lock it from the door and can audibly tell if the lock fails. Outside of that, never had an issue in 2 years. Highly recommend.
