Does anyone know if the 5 year warranty on the G3 covers burn in? I really want to get it from BB because their warranty does cover burn in and I can get 24 months no interest but if the 5 year warranty included covers it I may say screw it and buy from beach or GT.

Any generation of the G series you buy from a reputable retailer comes with a 5 year panel warranty straight from LG that will cover burn in.

Trust me, I would if it would fit in the space we have. Would end up overhanging the wall that frames out our fireplace by quite a bit unfortunately.

The G3 is "better". It's brighter, has DV, and does a better job of smoothing motion for 1080p/streaming content. I can't decide if that's worth an extra $1K though. I want it to be, but $1k is nothing to sneeze at.

Oh and the LG can be slim wall mounted, but I don't really count that as a true perk.
