If you are going to downvote deals, please have the courtesy of at least posting a comment to say why you think it's a bad deal. This is one of the best deals I've seen on Powerstack batteries, but the community will not get to see it since the votes went from +2 to -1 in a couple of minutes (i.e., three users downvoted it in quick succession).

Love these batteries. I already have 6 of these, so I don't need more right now. This is a great deal.

Wish the tool deals weren't suspiciously downvoted so hastily.

For some reason, the link doesn't redirect to Woot. It stops loading on my end. But this is a great deal!

People see 1.7Ah and don't realize what Powerstack is

I like the size of this, but it depletes so fast.

The regular 2AH seem to hold a charge significantly longer than this in my observations. The PS only advantage is that it should have a better current burst output, but I don't really see it in regular applications where you need small batteries. Whenever I need huge current output, I always use bigger batteries.

If I want lightweight battery, I use the 2AH because it last longer and if I want pure raw power output, I use the big Flexvolt batteries. So pretty much, this 1.7AH has no distinctive use.

Not that complicated. You need no power, use your 2ah. You need high power, use powerstack. You need high power for longer, use 5ah powerstack or flexvolt. For normal home use in tools like impact/saw this is PERFECT.

2AH can cover all the cases the 1.7AH PS is supposed to be needed.

The 2AH is small and powerful enough but has significantly longer run time than the 1.7AH. That is my observation. I just keep changing batteries more often when using the 1.7AH. The extra kick it supposed to have isn't significant enough. I am not even sure if there's difference at all.

Are Power Stack batteries for high-torque power tools but not a good choice for a leaf blower where better to go with more aH non-Power Stack? Trying to understand how. a 1.7aH PS battery is better than a higher aH non-PS battery.

Yes exactly. PS can maintain high voltage under load but the 1.7ah limits their runtime for a leaf blower. High amp hour non-PS batteries could have voltage sag under load (depending on the particular cells used) but will have the capacity to run the leaf blower for longer

I like the size and weight of the 1.7Ah PS over the 2.0, especially when paired with a DCF850 (or other ATOMIC tools). On the off chance that anyone is interested, this is how I use my batteries:
  • 1.7Ah POWERSTACK (DCB034) - this is my go to battery unless I need long runtime.
  • 2.0Ah DCB203 - I have only one of these which is permanently installed in a worklight.
  • 3.0Ah DCB200 - I still have two of the original 20V MAX batteries - one of them is permanently in my inflator and has surprisingly long runtime.
  • 4.0Ah XR (DCB204) - same form factor as the 5.0Ah XR but less runtime. When I got one in a kit, I immediately sold it.
  • 4.0Ah compact (DCB240) - this used to be my go to battery. It's a good capacity to size ratio.
  • 5.0Ah XR (DCB205) - for longer runtime.
  • 5.0Ah POWERSTACK (DCBP520) - I'm still on the fence on this one.
  • 6.0Ah FLEXVOLT (DCB606) - I rarely use this in 20V tools since it is so bulky.
  • 9.0Ah FLEXVOLT (DCB606) - I rarely use this in 20V tools since it is so bulky.
