Couldn't confirm the lifespan of the powerstacks being 2x as much since I use my warranty trick to keep my batteries fresh before the 3 year warranty goes out. Never had an issue and only spent about $250 on my initial set (8ah, 3ah, 2ah) and I have multiples of each now. Been using the 20V line since it came out.
When the compact POWERSTACK was released, one of the marketing points was the small size to capacity ratio. However, the 5.0Ah POWERSTACK (which was released a year later) is actually slightly bigger than the 5.0Ah XR battery.

For complete transparency, I might be slightly tainted since I got two of these kits for $99 all in from a previous deal but, given that that deal is no longer available, it's moot to the valuation.
Have you heard an old Steve Martin song …ramblin rambling… ramblin
Because Dewalt 60v is designed to be compatible with 20v tools and chargers. It would probably confuse more people than it helped if they dropped battery chargers that specifically mention 60v, when all 20v chargers are already compatible.
That said, the Rapid Charge models are designed with 60v in mind as they have much higher output and internal fans to recharge those higher AH Flexvolt batteries quickly. Those are the yellow models, DCB118 & DCB104. Even those only mention 20v on the device itself, but are marketed toward 60v on product listings.
If you've got some 9AH FlexVolt batteries, you'll def want a rapid charger to speed things up.

In Europe it's the same where the DCB1104 says 12V/18V rather than 12V/18V/54V. Although, interestingly, the DCB1106 says 12V/14.4V/18V (over here it's marked 12V/20V). The only 14.4V DeWalt batteries I know of are the old NiCads with the different form factor, so I really don't know which 14.4V batteries work on that.

I mean, it's not a trick, it's fraud. But whatever.
