Eeh, not too much a "great" deal. On clearance on Samsonite website too. So they're just getting rid of the inventory.

63" overall dimensions while airlines' limit it 62". They probably won't measure it or notice 1" over size, but if they do, you'll be on a hook for extra cost to get it checked in. I don't understand why Samsonite can just stick to what's allowed for air travel.

not saying they won't but i've never had an airlines measure my luggage before. They're usually just concerned with weight.

International flights have weight limit for sure. Also they have dimension limits. But those dimension limits are far from these luggages. This is a very good deal for Samsonite polypropylene hardshell luggage. All international airlines will accept this as checked baggage. Just clarifying, so that people who need don't miss the deal.

This is made as you note from lower end polypropylene NOT more durable polycarbonate. Just pointing that out.

Polycarbonate is better. You'll see ABS, polypropylene, etc., but polycarbonate is the best.

Even if they DON'T measure the bag, often times the problem is still weight.

When a bag is bigger, most people still fill it up. So with a bigger bag, they end up going WAY over the weight limit anyway.

And if you don't fill it...then you have a bag with empty space which causes your stuff to flop around all over the place instead of staying folded or secure.

I'm not saying THIS bag is too bag...but if it's a large bag and you want to fill it - it could easily go over 40 or 50 lbs.
