This promo seems to be replaced today with a free upgrade to the 256 GB model (previously $599, now $499 - same price as 128 GB model).

Or, if you are a YouTube TV subscriber, look for an email titled "Watch the NFL Draft starting April 25" which has a "25% off" promo code (offer expires May 1, 2024).

I'm going to take advantage of one of these promos to buy a Pixel Tablet. Can someone tell me why I might want/need more than 128 GB?

This tablet is only worth $250. The previous deal with the generous trade-in amounts Google removed today was plausable, maybe on a first Gen mid range device like this, but you can get an iPad 9th Gen that is a known good product that is close to comparable for $250 new so why would you buy this for $500. Not a slick deal at all.

Maybe if you store videos on the tablet? On tablets with 64GB I end up with 14 free after installing 300 songs, documents I like Handy and dozens of apps.

I got the 128 GB model using the YouTube TV customer promo for ~$375 (plus tax). I already have iPads, too, and may end up upgrading one of those, but I also am in the process of switching to an Android/Pixel phone (after experimenting with one for a month or so last year and really liking the UX) and I use Google Home for my home automation stuff (Siri sucks), so I'm partially buying this Pixel Tablet to use as a possible replacement for the Google Nest Hub Max I currently have in my kitchen.
