I wouldn't recommend this product -

Honest uses the more stable but less effective version of vitamin C (MAP). Second, I contacted Honest customer support to get the concentration of Vitamin C to understand the effectiveness based on the concentration but they are not willing to disclose it due to the proprietary nature / trade secrets. Most brands disclose this and transparency should be key to consumers. Given the uncertainty about effectiveness, I will not purchase this again and look for ones that have better disclosure and effectiveness

Based on internet research on Vitamin C: The effective concentration of vitamin C for face is between 8% and 20%. Serums with vitamin C concentrations below 8% are ineffective, while above 20%, their effectiveness tapers off.

I'd pass on this if you're looking for ACTUAL results and not just a kinda sorta, temporary makeup effect. This serum uses a VERY LOW percentage of a rather ineffective vitamin c derivative, but will instantly "brighten" your skin due to the fact that there's mica in it. Hard pass for me personally.

I'd suggest the Naturium vitamin c complex at $20 over this one.

I bought the truskin vitamin c serum. When I opened it there was some oxidation in the tube, so i emailed the customer service with photo and it turns out its small business so the owner responded and sent a new bottle as a replacement. But I also wanted to add it did make a difference in my skin. So if anybody wants to try that.

Is there an affordable vitamin c product you recommend?
