Also same price at Target. With additional 20% off for car seat trade-in and 5% Target credit card, total came out to $228.90 after tax! Great deal, was waiting to pull the trigger on this car seat.

Wasn't there some investigation on this model sighting safety concerns?

I was seriously considering this seat until I heard about the investigation. The search continues (really wish the Chicco FIt360 went up to 50lbs rear-facing). Now I'm between the Britax Poplar S (no sale price but Target coupon applies) and the Nuna Rava (full price).

There is, but no actual verified incidents.

After a few accidents the seat part detached from the base, but not when a kid was inside them. It is likely that the seats were not in the locked position. However, they are looking into it to make sure it isn't a real issue.

I contacted Target customer service and they couldn't figure out how to stack both the 20% off trade-in and 15% off registry discounts so they just gave me $20 off. My youngest will grow out his infant car seat soon so this deal is good timing.

Do we know this is the case? I know that was speculation but from last I heard no one other than NHSTA knows exactly what happened in those 6 cases

I had bought this car seat a few weeks ago, before I learned about the investigation, but ended up returning it right away. Saving a few bucks are not worth taking a chance, even if nothing comes out of the investigation. I ended up ordering the Graco Turn2me 3-in-1 a few days ago, as it seems like a good alternative (currently on sale for $300). Something to keep in mind about the turn2me is the rear-facing weight limit of 40 lbs though.

This may or may not be an issue for you, but the Graco Turn2me does not rotate 360 degrees. So if you want to go to rear facing to front facing you actually have to re-install the car seat to make it work correctly front facing. Also, it only rotates when in rear facing, not when its installed front facing.

FWIW we have a rava and its awesome. If you can wait for the periodic Nordstrom sale, can be had for $375. It doesn't have the swivel but can't say I miss the feature too much (only once in a while in a tight parking space)

Thanks for sending this. I think at this point we're going to get a Rava next time it goes on sale for our main car, and maybe a Britax Poplar S or Graco DLX for the secondary car. Just wish they were a little cheaper.
