The offer is not valid for people whose membership was active in the last 18 months. Also, an FYI for anyone who bit on the $20 card offer last week - no price match on membership promotional offers. I just got off of chat with a rep.

FYI: I have a Costco card that expired April. I have to wait 18 months and so does the other 2nd card person on my account.

Way around i found is to find another NEW person (last 18 months no Costco account) in the household and then have them as the primary account and YOU as the second. (the primary has to be new account holder ,but NOT 2nd account holder)

Also, make sure to use a NEW email with NEW account person. Costco tracks ALL emails used. If you are doing it with a GF, BF or friend then change address to a simple account like a bank account you don't use as a primary account. The address of primary and second card account must have same address!

Error 900 means that you were FLAGGED by their credit card processor as a suspicious transaction. It happens to me and they want me to give them more personal info. I refused and emailed them back they are crazy. What happens to my info if they get hacked and my data stolen? Will they help resolve my issues and pay for the problems? It's not worth the hassle for $40.

I checked and GROUPON has a similar Costco offer. Also for Sam's club if you have them close by like I do.

My membership using my current address just expired. If I have an older driver's license that shows my prior address, would I be able to use that to sign up as a new customer?
