Why go through stacksocial when you can go to Costco and get the same deal?

The offer is not valid for people whose membership was active in the last 18 months. Also, an FYI for anyone who bit on the $20 card offer last week - no price match on membership promotional offers. I just got off of chat with a rep.

Costco changed from containers to bags on the Rotisserie chickens... it sucks. Not just for the consumer but also the employees. This is akin to changing the price of the food court hot dog.

This stacksocial offer doesn't mention anything about having a renewal pre-selected with a Visa card for the promo to count.

Perhaps you can skip the locked-in renewal like in the other Costco direct offer?

So so membership starts when you go into costco and redeem it or when you hit redeem code on stack social?

That's not even remotely the same.

Can you put it in someone else name or is it based on address?
I believe the policy is two cards per household. 2nd card is good only if the person lives in that household.

Saves a few pennies per purchase. Same strategy at Walmart and Ralphs. You still get a plastic box at Sam's...for now.

Why is there tax for buying membership on SS website?

If true, it seems its cheaper to get this deal directly from costco
I had to pay CA sale tax on membership, starting in 2021. Probably a state mandate thing in CA...tax everything. Those in Sacramento can't control spending cause it's not their $.

Don't worry, all you information is leaked from some other hack already. NOTHING IS SAFE on the internet.
This.

Create an account at all three credit bureaus:
Equifax
Experian
TransUnion

Then put a credit FREEZE on all three accounts. When you need to apply for a credit card, loan, etc., log in to your accounts and unfreeze them for a week or so. They will automatically go back to frozen when the time period is up.

Good luck!

Can my wife get it as a new member and I will have my membership expire or is it per address?
I tried to get a card for my wife when she travels to see her family and was told that the membership is PER PERSON. Since I was already a second on someone else's account, I couldn't let her "share" my membership. They said she needs to sign up for her own membership. They have to know it would be from the same address since we are married.

So, if a couple wanted to toggle back and forth between memberships, I assume that could be done. But now they are getting strict with checkout in the stores as it is supposed to ONLY be the person with the membership.

One workaround is to buy gift cards and let your spouse use them. Apparently you don't need a membership to enter, shop, or checkout in a warehouse if you have a gift card. Please let me know if this is not correct.

This only offers the basic membership. I want the executive because I am an executive.

Yup. It's bs. Since 2019, CA state gov led by Newsom has spent $24 billion on homeless programs. Homelessness has increased 20% since 2019. None of these funds have been tracked. What does that say about the intelligence of the people voting.

I'm gaslighting a bit but if you observe the practical business process and consumer experience, in comparison to what it was with the container, you can see how much worse the outcomes are. I spoke with the employees after I watched them bag chickens and they're in agreement - it's a worse experience and plenty of other employees confirmed my assumptions that other customers are not fans. This is driven by the "bottom line" / "sustainable" goals. Not much different from the grocery bag / paper straw / wood utensil regulations.

Is this worth it for online shopping only? It seems like I see a decent amount of online deals for them and the closest store for me is over an hour away.

I'd say yes. They have been pushing online exclusives, its only gonna get better

They also run gift card deals(Instacart, Dominos etc) that save money if you use them

Is a current additional card member eligible for this offer if s/he applies for the membership by her/himself?
