I have the first generation of this EGO snowblower and 8" dry snow is super easy. 5" + for wet snow works well , just go a little slower. This model is better than mine so I would expect better performance even for a 1 stage blower. I don't even have an auger, I have the paddle version

Really hope the 2 stage version of this goes on sale soon
Purchased the 2-stage in 2021. Used it twice only. Snow fall level in IL for the last 3 years was not even for me to even pull out snow blower. Will need to list it for sale. Just taking up space in my garage.

I have a 3 stage gas one, you can snowblow faster than a 2 stage, it does have 2 extra shear pins that's the only drawback, you're replacing them more often.
Mine was able to handle nearly a foot of regular snow. Heavy stuff about half that. Compares to other single stage blowers I've used. Either plan on a two stage if you regularly get big snows or just know you'll need to plan a mid storm pass. For me, the size trade-off was worth the occasional hassle
I would probably bite but I picked up a paddle one earlier this year it works well I also have a SJ corded paddle and it works fine for light now.
I have a 10HP 28In gas monster for big snows so I am covered for any snowfall there is really no all in one except maybe for the really expensive 2 stage battery units.
Does this have enough power to remove 3-5inches of snow? The wired electric snow joe I have can't even clean 2 inches of snow! Have to upgrade soon
Yes, this can handle 3-5 inches of snow. I don't know what Snow Joe model you have but I have the Snow Joe 24V-X2-SB18, which uses batteries, and I've moved 6+ inches fairly easily. Wet snow is always going to be harder for any snowblower to move, but your Snow Joe should be able to handle 2 inches...

You don't own one hammer why have one snowblower?
