If anyone is trying to decide between the regular and executive membership, just know/remember you need to spend $3000 in store or online annually (with a few exclusions) for the executive membership to pay for itself/recoup the extra cost. Every dollar after that is profit.

And I believe you can get a refund if you decide halfway through that you definitely won't make it, just in case.

Their scan and go app is phenomenal though. Hate standing in line at Costco like a sucker. Their TP and paper towels are still cheaper than HEB, and better quality too. Bottled water is cheaper as well, if you need bottled water.

FYI for anyone who bit on the $20 card offer last week - no price match on membership promotional offers. I tried on chat with a representative earlier.

Buying this online does that give me a digital version of a membership card that I can use in store or do I have to go in store and wait in their long slow line to get a card to shop physically in store?

If you are going to shop in store you will need a Costco membership card for entry each time. We went last Thursday and it took under 10 minutes for them to pull up our account and get the ID's made.

How long does this promo end? I last had a Costco membership that expired in Oct , 31 2022. So I was wondering what would be the earliest date to qualify for the promo considering the 18 month rule.

It happened to me last year. You willget a new membership number. Your online account will stay, but you will need to update it with your new membership number. All your in-store purchase will be gone, because they are tied to the primary account holder.

Well, not necessarily.
You CAN use just a Gift Card to gain entry and buy as much as you want and pay the difference with a Credit Card or Cash. And you can use other services, like Pharmacy etc without a card. We get another member to buy a few gift cards for us, since we only go twice a year or so. Sometimes they'll push you to buy a membership, or slip you some side-eye, but it works just fine when you decline the arm twisting.

How soon do you get the digital $40? I just signed up for the first time and the promo discount showed .01 so I believe I did everything correct..
