My M1 (with 16GB Ram and 1TB SSD) hasn't shown any signs of slowing down. So I'm going to give it another year and see what the M4 brings. But this is a great price if you're in the market for one now.

Step by step what I did, hope someone else can get the same!
1. Microcenter link to send to BB rep: https://www.microcenter
EVEN THOUGH THIS LINK SAID OUT OF STOCK THEY STILL ACCEPTED IT FOR A PRICE MATCH
2. I went through 3 reps. The first rep said it couldn't do the because of "one per household". The second said she couldn't do it unless I picked up in Indianapolis. The third said the same with regard to Indianapolis, but they seemed like they were ready to go along with it (even in the color I wanted) so I just said I had a friend coming in to get in to get it and gave them a fake name. I did this because on BestBuy's website it says you can switch the order from pickup to shipped up to 30 minutes after it's placed. Except that wasn't true: the only option was to cancel the order :/
3. The kicker: I knew getting the price match on the OOS item was the hard part, so I just started another chat and explained that my friend can't pick it up. They had me cancel the order and created the SAME PRICE MATCH for my local store, pickup tomorrow, no problem with this rep whatsoever.

Previously I was starting the chat signed into the app.
This last time, I signed out and started the chat online. The prompts were different asked if I was shopping for a product.
The rep who joined said they were from the Sales department.
I think I might have got someone from the Sales vs normal customer service. Not sure, but they did it right away no questions asked

Still not sure if I want to keep it. I've a 8GB M1 Air purchased in 2021 for $750 without taxes. I barely use it but whenever I use I am constantly annoyed by how slow it is because I open a lot of tabs on chrome. Need to see how much I can sell it for.
Just keep trying there should be no issue unless they start asking for your zip code. If they ask you for zip code most likely will be a NO. Just thank them if they say no, exit and try another chat.
Now if they ask for the model and link of item without any questions on your zip code you have a good chance of getting it approved. I tried 3 times yesterday and after the third all reps were busy. Tried this morning and the rep was so nice. He even changed the price when he had given a higher one for the Microcenter in my city. Asked if he could change it to the price in Indianapolis and he changed it! He was so patient because I changed my mind on the shipping and changed my order 3 times! I really got such a patient rep. I am embarrassed how much I made him work. Grateful I got the specked out M3 16gb/for 1144 total including tax.
