I do want the smaller screen for lighter carry with smaller bag at time and the $1080 m3 air is really a steal with 16Gb/512
I paid $1600 for my 15" and the deal year day was $1225!!! Too bad I am way past my return date

I've been in the market for a new computer for awhile and I've seen deals left and right but NOTHING like this! OP thank you so much! Good luck everyone, and keep trying!
I also had the M2 Air 13.6 and gave it to my niece after I was done playing with it.
Now I got a 13.6 Air M3 on the $1080 deal because it was too good to pass up given it's $1499 regular price because I do want the M3 performance but not the weight or size of 15" at times!
I did not find myself using all of the M1 Pro port so I haven't gotten another MPro. Performance is nice but I didn't maximize it's use.
On the Air with MagSafe we have 2 USB-C ports on the M3 Air and it's more than enough to drive 2 monitors (lid closed) and one of the monitor is on the dongle with HDMI so I can have my USB devices connected even if I have 2 monitors.
I was using Dell dock before so I may reconnect it so I can have the devices hang off of a dock instead of dongles. I keep changing my setup to keep it fresh and interesting lol.
for 400 more do I need 3 extra cpu cores and better graphics and ports? Debatable since the base price is $1080 on the 13" Air so it's a big % cost to get ports and more cpu I may not use.
Everyone has different needs of course
