If anyone has had success with ebay unlocker (or others) for boost edge+ 2023 , let us know.
If this can be unlocked easily like the 2022 model, this is a great deal. Otherwise, 12 month unlock criteria is cancerous nowadays.

The majority of people looking at this deal are going to want to take the phone somewhere else after the first month, and aren't sure if it will work with other carriers. Personally, I'm too nervous about getting stuck with Boost at that price for what is deprioritized service and a mid-tier phone (especially since the camera is "meh" and I care far more about a good camera than I do gaming on a phone).

If you pay through PayPal, you can login and deactivate it from subscriptions.
If you pay through CC, you need to use a burner card since they won't let you remove your default card or contact CS and ask them to disable autopay.
I don't know if you can still ask CS to disable it. Things might have changed.
Boost is no worse than any other MVNO, in my opinion (and experience, though I'm not currently using them), but I'm not sure this "deal" is worth the risk for someone who absolutely does not want to commit to a year at $40/mo with Boost.

So what if you want or need more than 2GB? There are cheaper options than Boost, especially if you don't mind paying 3-6-12 months in advance. I'm currently wrapping up 12 months of Mint unlimited that was $180 ($15/month). Yes, I had to buy 12 months at once (6mo + 6mo "free"), but I had experience with Mint and was happy enough. This was in addition to a $200 Pixel 7 Pro, which Mint unlocked for me without question when I said I needed to use the eSIM.
I know it's not simple. People have different cell service use-cases. Some can get by with less than 1GB, some effectively want/need "unlimited". A person's use-case will determine what combination of phone promo + service cost is the best value for them and should choose accordingly. I just don't see this being a "deal" for someone who is fine with an MVNO but wants more than 2GB of data allotment since they likely can't take the phone to another carrier unless they stay a full year with Boost.
