I own two of these. One set on a timer for my bathroom for morning showers and one gifted to my mother for her birthday. EXCELLENT heater. really heats up quickly and easy to use. Highly recommend it especially for this price!

Why would anyone downvote "thanks OP"? That makes no sense on any level!

Normally $25, not $40, but still almost an all time low so a good deal.

I had to get one from Amazon and one from Walmart. Amazon would only allow me to purchase 1.

Great smaller heaters and I've used one for the last 5+ years. The onlything is plugging them into a powerstrip can cause them to short for some reason. It works, but there is a risk. This happened to a different Lasco heater and it voided the warranty.
So they have to be plugged straight into the wall? You can't use them with a surge protector?

I bought one of these and it was very cheaply made. The knob fell off the first time I tried to use it.

That's what it said in the owner's manual and one of the customer service questions was how it was plugged in. It works on a powerstrip, but it can short it out. That's what happened to one of my Lasco heaters. I now plug them into the wall.

I did not and I would not (I do not know how to) but "thanks OP" does not benefit anyone except one person. Discussions are full of irrelevant comments and it is possible that someone is frustrated by that.
Caustic group here as usual huh

Unless you're using a heavy duty rated power strip or extension cord, you should ALWAYS plug electric heaters directly into the wall. You probably triggered some sort of safety mechanism or blew a fuse or something that prevented your power strip from melting and catching fire.

You can place multiple orders on Amazon for one heater each. I placed three separate orders without a problem.

Basically, a power strip/extension cord will heat up if too much power is drawn through it. If this goes on long enough, the plastic will melt and catch fire. The outlets in your house usually don't have this problem because they all use heavy duty wiring and can handle much more power than your typical cheap extension cord/power strip. So anything that seems like it uses a lot of power should be plugged directly into the wall unless you're positive that the power strip or extension cord is rated to handle it.

Crazy that 4 moths ago garbage Govee heaters were making front page with +100 likes at 3x this price. And the sub 70 IQs on here assured me $30 was a good price. Lol.

After posting the earlier comment, I was able to go back and order one from Walmart. So apparently going in and out of stock.

these just have to be taken apart and dust vaccumed out every few years

the "ceramic" is just a cheap frame clamped around the heating element which slowly fills with dust and there is a cheap fan like you'd find in a computer case where the bearings wear out in about five years and start making too much noise

Great little heater. I have one of these under my desk at work for about 5 years because my giant wall of windows have all the R value of a screen and on real cold windy days the heater works to turn my big desk into a giant radiant heat source.
