Looks like "The only difference is that the 5GHz and 6GHz bands have slightly lower theoretical bandwidths despite having the same 2x2 specs"

Apologies for being a noob, but I'm using spectrum and their proprietary router. Internet is bad in 2800 house. Would this help or should I be getting a new router instead or even additionally with a mesh system?

Should be able to put your spectrum router into a bridge mode or similar to disable the WiFi. Then plug in your own mesh like this deco which would become your primary network device for making changes.

Look on your spectrum box for a model number and google "spectrum model number bridge mode" to find if it's possible and likely someone will have listed the steps to do it. Best of luck!

Coupons applied to 2-pack:
  • Clipped: -$30.00
  • 10XE70PRO1: -$25.00
For a total of $195 in case you only need 2. Pretty good deal.

Thanks. Great deal for two units. In addition to the price, I'm hoping that this will get security updates for a longer period of time since it is a brand new release

What is the max distance I could set these from each other with a clear line of sight and still get sufficient signal?

I'm using X60's at the moment, and have one unit that is connected to the main unit about 350 feet away and it still shows a "medium" signal. It's pretty much clear line of sight minus a few trees.

I disagree. Like someone else said, the Costco model (AXE5300) has a 1Gbps ethernet port, while this model has a 2.5Gbps ethernet port. Practically, that's more useful since you can connect your NAS device or computer to the 2.5Gbps port for faster data transfer. And once your internet speed goes above 1Gbps, you can connect it to your router for faster internet. So, it's much more forward looking than the Costco model. Many folks already have 1Gbps connection, and you might as well buy a router that will support a faster connection once your ISP upgrades to a faster speed. It's not a perfect device as more one 2.5Gbps port would have been ideal; but at this price one can't complain.

The only advantage of the Costco model is that it has slightly higher theoretical wifi bandwidth for 5GHz and 6GHz bands. But that difference is not going to translate to any noticeable difference in the real world.

I agree with this take. I bought the Costco version 2 weeks ago and have a 1.2Gbps internet line. The costco set is a great option, mesh awesome, setup easy, but I was disappointed I couldn't fully utilize the capacity.

While not a big deal for everyday use, I wanted to see if I could achieve full throughput. The coupons and savings on this deal made the OOTD cost equal to the Costco sale version so I pulled the trigger.

Same experience with this version, setup easy and can achieve full 1.2Gbps throughput.

The only downside is I hate returning stuff that works just fine. But thank you Costco for your favorable return policy, I'll be keeping the XE70 for better future proofing.

Is this a true mesh where each unit meshes to all other units to extend range, or does each unit only communicate with the head unit?
Unfortunately no. You set the main Deco and the two others bounce between the main, but not to each other. However, it's a great system and we've had no issues that I can remember for two years on an older version.

You know they take picture on delivery. Why risk getting banned forever?

Installed this the other day and so far it's been great. Replaced an Eero Pro setup from a few years back that I paid more for at the time. Getting around 2-4x the download speeds, depending on the device. I'm able to max out my Spectrum 1GB plan with my 6E tablet on the 6GHz band, ~930Mbps down, which is what I get hardwired with ethernet. Pretty damn impressive.

I was planning on waiting for Wi-Fi 7 setups to come down in price before upgrading, but for the money, I am more than satisfied. The 2.5GB port made it even more enticing.

Instead of 1 pack, just buy 4/3 packs.

Or buy an additional Deco unit on Amazon.... supposedly any model of Deco will mesh/work with any model of Deco.... although there may be some feature limitations if you get a less capable Deco.
