Digitally remastered and expanded edition contains the 1978 album along with previously unreleased and newly restored bonus content consisting of the band's 1979 Pinkpop festival performance. This edition is housed in a deluxe edition-style digipak featuring a 5,700 word essay by Rob Bowman. Hemispheres is the sixth studio album by Rush, released in October 1978 by Anthem Records. Rush continued their progressive rock sound with the side long "Cygnus X-1 Book II: Hemispheres" and the nine-minute instrumental "La Villa Strangiato".

Something that you may want to consider .. and this is just one person's experience, a person no more important or qualified to judge than anybody else .. but .. I first heard this music when I was 14 years old. I'm 58 now. There must be thousands upon thousands of songs and albums of songs I've heard between now and then. But *THIS* album, by this band, it stays with me. It altered the way I judged good or bad. I shifted my perspective on what music could be. There's so much music I have just tossed out of my memory because it was deemed worthless or not worth retaining.

Forty-some years later, the music and lyrics and concepts on this album forever altered who I became and the way I thought about things.

I mean, these guys made up their own Greek god and told the myth behind him. Jhees, man.

Ya know?

If you are talking "savings" and "value", then this is The Slickdeal of all-time.

There's nothing you can purchase for $39 that's going to be as well-crafted, thought provoking and life altering as this right here.
