This has been the normal price for a bit now. These were (and still are to a lesser degree) being scalped just like pi's and any other low supply devices from the last 5-6 years. Glad to see some things are becoming sane again but I don't consider this a deal personally.

Have a weird feeling these are going to be used to "mine" some new crypto and the prices are going to be absurd later , just a feeling though

this is huge news you must share with the world because a lot of people are asking if there is more than one use for these things.
do you have more details on how to use them other than what everyone else is doing?

TPU makes low precision computation of large volume, not good for crypto mining. The focus of TPU is efficiency to do inference computation for the least power draw. Besides the coral has been around since the first half of 2020, if it was going to be used for crypto it would have already happened.

Good point. I bought one from them about four years ago and the price was the same, $59.99 (shipping and handling was around $8, but no sales tax at the time, though I'm sure that's changed). It has been hooked up to my QNAP since, as it's supposed to help with QuMagie processing.

Yeah, if you go to the actual coral.ai website [coral.ai] and click the 'Buy' link, it's available from multiple retailers for $59.99 (or thereabouts). This is not a good deal; it's in stock most places nowadays, the scalpers must still be trying to offload some of the stock they bought up during the shortages for a tidy profit.

I tried this and all the resellers seem to be in EU. None in US. Is that correct?

Mouser Seeed Arrow and a few others have US warehouses, you have to check when you check out. But I'd be happy ordering overseas too, there are a lot of more 'embedded' products that are surprisingly hard to find in North America, but easy to come by in Europe and Asia.
