Had to log in and comment on this one. Buyer beware. I had been a OnePlus devotee back to the 6. I upgraded from my 8 to this 10T last year, thinking the specs were fantastic for the price. The performance was terrible - graphically-intensive games and apps stuttered horribly no matter how low I dropped the settings. I spoke to OnePlus customer support several times but they were of no help other than suggesting factory resets (which I did several times). I even took the phone back and exchanged it for a new one - same issues. Meanwhile, my old OnePlus 6 was running the exact same apps flawlessly at 60fps side by side with the new 10T while it stuttered trying to keep up 30fps.

They may have done some firmware updates since to correct this, but I ended up returning the second one 10T and getting an S23.

Asus doesn't do deals on their phones. Just mild discounts.

How does this compare to the Pixel 7a?
I would put the 7a over this. The one plus has a much faster processor, bigger screen and battery with faster charging. The camera will take much better pictures on the Pixel plus you get the value adds of having the call waiting and answering feature. The software on the Pixel is streamlined so you will not notice that much of a difference in speed.

I'm also in the no jumbo phone camp, but we are really running out of options. I was trying to get a Galaxy S24 at launch for a good price but the deals were bad. Hoping to find a deal on an S23 or S24 without the hassle of weaseling around carrier contracts.

I bought this 10T at the last sale for $299. I'm happy with it. Used AppControl to delete 99 percent of the bloatware. There isn't much bloat, but it is bothersome. Screen is sharp for videos and enough memory for my audio files, maps, and pics.

Specs look good. Comes with Power Adaptor. It's an older model. But I don't know much about OnePlus phones.
----------------------------------------------------
5G Unlocked - Compatible with 5G networks on AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Visible, MetroPCS, Mint Mobile, Google Fi and Cricket. Up to 4G on Tracfone.

125W SUPERVOOC Endurance Edition - A day's power in 10 minutes and double the battery lifespan. An AI algorithm intelligently learns your individual charging schedule to deliver the fastest charging speed.

Flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Mobile Platform - The fastest Snapdragon mobile platform delivers ultimate performance at your fingertips through 10% higher CPU and x4 Faster AI Speed.
I'm still using the 8T with 256MB. Like the phone but it does strange things when I talk with the phone to my ear. It could my ears but it makes calls, mutes itself, etc. Worth the money but it's not perfect.

S24 could've put in Magsafe/Qi2.0 instead of just shamelessly trying to be an iPhone clone every other way. Maybe I'd have bought it instead of sticking to my S10e. They're just working on every reason to push people to ask "If I really wanted an iPhone I'd just buy an iPhone." Why don't you do things that are different that have value, and copy things that have value too.
Instead of doing stupid things like three vertical cameras, just to be different where you shouldn't be..

I gave up on OP after 7 Pro, the products arent getting the support that they used to, software updates basically never happen and the products just arent worth investing in anymore. My whole family owned every one plus model starting from the crowd funding from the original One Plus 1 all the way to the 7 pro and it became more apparent over the years that you started losing more and more. Its a decent price and they do buy backs frequently as credit for an upgrade but I think the user experience is increasingly poor to the point where i dont want to use my phone anymore. I think its wild that they still hold on to the Never Settle branding when i think everyone knows that they've 100% settled.

Curious if they really have dual SIM? I thought the 9-10 series was single SIM in the USA. Thanks in advance

If you don't mind used, the wife picked up an excellent certified refurb S23 on eBay (with the 1 year warranty) for $400.

I got an S24 for almost nothing through spectrum. Sold it fast for $400 cash on Facebook.
