I've always used Behr and been pretty pleased but tried SW Superpaint not long ago because of the reviews. It was terrible. Couldn't believe how poor it went on, and even covering a light shade with another light shade, I could easily see the old color in places after the first coat. I felt like I had to have gotten a bad batch or something but the experience was so poor I had no motivation to try again, especially since Behr seemed night and day better at a lower price.

Was this just a fluke or has anyone else had an experience like this with SW?

I've always used SW exterior paint, and it's been holding up very well. It's expensive, so when I have to paint new T-111 panels (soak up a lot of paint), I usually throw one coat of those off-color paints Lowe's and HD always have discounted by the paint mixer.

I had the opposite experience. I use SW latitiude on an external door last year and it went on great. Last week I had to paint my porch rails and posts and was by a home depot and got a gallon of Behr Ultra. Wish I went back to SW. It was so thin. I had to use 3-4 coats.

Never again

Super Paint is a really good product, i worked for SW for a few years and also used this product, inside and outside. if you have any issues with coverage, contact the store, there can be manufacture issues, but this is such a popular product it would have been caught fast. And this was 20 years ago, we did have issues with some bright (mostly yellow) colors covering, and really any really dark color can have issues with coverage. Also using the right primer (ask the store if they can tint it with black colorant for better performance/top coat coverage, sometimes they can sometimes it does not make sense).

I've been painting for the last 20 years and Shewin Williams is the superior choice if your budget allows. The only brand that comes close are a few from Benjamin Moore.

This is contractor pricing for the public. Just a heads up, this is what painters pay every day. It's actually 44% off for them I believe. I tested it a few years ago during this sale.

Are the SW supplies decent at this price, or should I stick to paint only?

You guys seen the price at the store for their paint right lol. They do get color matched paint pretty close though.

Damn website error: Unable to verify credit card info.

Tried like 10x with 2 different cards, refuses to take my payment, and there is no option for anything else like paypal, or to pay in store.

They must be losing tons of sales due to the fact that their payment processing sucks.

I also would like to know if their paint supplies are better priced than HD/Lowes/Menards? Anyone know?

Same problem. I called the nearest store and they took my order. I'll pay deposit tomorrow and pick by Saturday.
