With laptops and the 4000 series there is some that don't provide full power to the GPU's you have to check online and research which models provide the full wattage to the GPU's or undervolt them to get the best performance. IIRC there was also something dealing with AMD chipsets that they wouldn't use the full power of GPUS i forget what it was some internal switch or passthrough or something where it would route all GPU info through the onboard GPU even if there was a descrete GPU installed forget the full details of all that, it has been a while. Someone can chime in with what that was, I bought my 4070 laptop like 2 years ago so forget the deets on all of it.

Yeah can confirm it does, the laptop will only go into "turbo" mode when the power brick is plugged in. Otherwise you are capped at "performance" mode.

I agree as well, this is my second Acer laptop (in a row) had zero issues with the first one as well and was really impressed with the build quality and stability over 6 years. Before I bought this laptop I got one of their mini-led monitors and now favor mini-led over oled since I constantly keep my screens on.

I wanted something smaller than a 15" laptop and that pretty much pinned this model vs the dell xps (oled) and at this price and features I bit on this model favoring the cheaper price and better gpu.
