I built a similar one with my son whos 5, no way he could have done it alone but with help he was able to pitch in feel like we did it together. He liked it and now has it up on a shelf.

No joke: these things are incredibly difficult to put together, you need a child's hands and a grown up's brain, so it's an ideal activity for parents to do with their kid(s)

Also, you WILL need to buy extra glue and a diorama tool kit, if you don't already have one.

This is indeed a challenging project, if you have younger children, you can choose simpler models, simpler models tend to be easier to build successfully and promote parent-child relationship
