Why would someone subscribe to this? Isn't this supposed to be like a one time purchase or may be when it breaks or is lost, something like that?

You subscribe because the cost is cheaper then the one-time purchase.
Then you cancel the subscription afterwards.

The measure scale will fade after a dozen of washes.

Ok that sounds like a valid answer.

Of the 20 child/infant oral medications picked up in the past 3 years at a big box pharmacies, all have included a syringe like this. Never considered buying one outright

These aren't oral syringes by strict definition. Oral syringes have a differently tapered tip with the tip itself offset from the center of the cylinder face. These are either luer slip syringes or nothing special at all, I would need to get better views of the tip dimensions to confirm. This of course neglects the argument "anything can be an oral syringe if you try hard enough".

They wear out easy, especially if you have ongoing medication use

These are free at any pharmacy if you just ask. You can swing by and say "hey sorry I just got my child's medicine yesterday and it didn't come with a dropper, do you mind giving me one?"

Works every time. But I'm also in the Southern US where people are generally friendlier so ymmv.

Good deal, thanks!

I need to change one out weekly for my toddler…almost all brands seem to be ok and fade after multiple washes.

You can only get so many free ones with oops I didn't get my syringe on my last Rx…

Because Amazon hopes to sell us more than we need. And if the product fades after washing, the quality is crap.

If you cover it with transparent tape (shipping) it lasts long!

Every dog owner should have one of these for emergencies. If the dog eats chocolate or something where you need to squirt in hydrogen peroxide to get them to vomit. Time is of the essence.
