I will respectfully disagree. As someone who bought the non-self propelled version 3 years ago, I really wish I had spent the extra money at the time and bought the self-propelled version. I've otherwise really enjoyed the mower and other Greenworks products I have.
Link? I could not find it on the AliExpress site (the one I did find was $305 for the exact same model as the Walmart one).

Also, the Walmart deal is being sold and shipped by Walmart. No weird shipping shenanigans.
With the mower as light as it is, having "self-propelled" is not really that necessary, and that option just adds more unnecessary weight, and another mechanical component that can fail.

I have a 60v self-propelled (heavier I believe). I don't use the SP feature. I'm a small man, texas, flat lawn about 5k sqft.

I e owned this for basically 4 years, 0 complaints, 0 issues other than sharpening blade 2 times. I do have a fairly small yard. This mower has treated me really well, I considered buying a second just to have a spare.

Just returned mine. 40v and a single battery is insufficient.

Returned to where?

Was going to write this and then saw your response. I bought the 80v about 6 years back and during the past 3 been mowing a 1/4 acre yard with it due to a new house. I couldn't even begin to tell you the number of times I wish I spent the extra $100 to get self propelled. With that being said I finally got a rider, but the Greenworks is still working great with the original battery.

Which rider did you get? TIA

I just opened the box. I know there is only one battery. I want to purchase another one. But I have never been so confused about getting a replacement part. The battery I got is BAF724 which is 40V 4.0AH. I don't think you can find a that model even on their website. In fact, I don't see any 40V 4.0AH batteries available now on their website. Google search shows a battery with the model number 29472 on Greenworks website which is out of stock. So, are they phasing out the 40V 4.0AH batteries? Is 29472 equivalent to BAF724? There are batteries on Amazon that claim to be compatible with 29472 but are 6.0AH. Can I use a 40V 6.0AH battery along with the 4.0AH battery on this mower?

More capacity, the longer the battery will last! You should be fine in using the 6Ah battery.
