Google AI says: "Yes, lenders can consider immigration status when underwriting loans, and visa holders may be considered more risky than citizens. This is because immigration status can correlate with national origin, which is protected under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA). Lenders can consider immigration status to assess their rights or remedies to recover funds, or if otherwise required to comply with other laws. For example, if a visa expires and the borrower must leave the country, the lender would be unable to recover the balance due on a loan."

I chose to do a 1 pay lease and just pay everything at signing. I also had offers for roughly the same total price with $0 down $254 per month, $1k down $207 per month, and $2k down $161 per month. Admittedly those are slightly better than the $6k upfront but they didn't come with the extra $2k in options which I chose to use on lease end protection and tire/wheel protection

That makes no sense. Leasing has little to do with having money or not. You probably also think people who use credit cards are poor people and go around with dirty ass crumpled up bills and rusted coins taking forever to check-out.
hmmm...i see maybe it doesnt make sense to u.

but to most it makes complete sense.
let me try and explain my POV.

when u do 1 pay. the amount is lower v if u pay monthly.

for example.
a 24m lease.
one pay is 6k.
if u pay monthly, u may pay a total amount of 7k.

so for many it is about not having the 6k now.
for me. i will only buy if i can afford.

regarding the other comments.
in reality i ONLY use credit cards.
[so dont make assumptions of what i think, cause that only makes a ..well u know the rest]

but unlike most, i pay off at end of every month.

i am not unique in that regard.
i am sure the most savy person here or anywhere else will do same.
but most do not.
they simply buy on CC make minimum payment etc.

What kind of shoddy list is this? The #1 selling SUV in the world (model Y) is not even in the top 10 in this list haha. I would agree the Ionic is bstter than a bolt tho. But far inferior to a Tesla
LOL - That website is littered with advertisements from everyone except Tesla and Rivia

This other list for Best of 2024 has zero advertisements from JD Powers.

Perplexity summarized it as:

According to the J.D. Power research and data, the best electric cars based on their 2024

U.S. Electric Vehicle Experience (EVX) Ownership Study are:
Premium Battery Electric Vehicles:

Rivian R1T (score of 789)
Rivian R1S (score of 778)
Tesla Model 3 (score of 756)
Tesla Model Y (score of 752)
Mass Market Battery Electric Vehicles:
MINI Cooper Electric (score of 770)
Ford Mustang Mach-E (score of 764)
Hyundai IONIQ 6 (score of 759)

there were a few citations, just linking one.
https://www.jdpower.com/business/...ship-study

That said, I thought Ioniq 5 N (the performance version was quite interesting) in the reviews I saw. Not that I would switch yet because I still have features that I like on my MYP but Ioniq 5 N is what I would seriously consider if I was in the market for Fast-ish SUV EV so I assumed the regular version would be decent too.

If you want to be an all electric person, which is great compared to the ridiculously over priced oil prices. I wouldn't buy anything that wasn't a Tesla or a Honda. They are making great strides, unlike Toyota that is sticking to hybrids. Honda EVs are great and will be supported. It's a pretty old car company from '48.

Few years from now people would be saying "and I could have had an ev for this low price"….yes EV's are having time with adoption but this is the future!…everyone made fun of the iPhone in 2007 and look how it changed the mobile phone industry

Is there a reason why they are dropping the prices rapidly? I was at a lot the other day and there were over 40 used teslas on site.

Gotta love how the taxpayers are footing the bill for 25% of the vehicles cost.

Not even remotely the same. Phones from 2007 had days of battery life while the iPhone struggles 24 hours.

I actually work for a Hyundai dealership. (Top Salesman) and let me tell everyone a little secret. There is no such thing as this car for $229 with only first month payment due. I don't care what they tell you. It has nothing to do with the state you are in.

HyundaiUSA.com is what every single Hyundai dealership in America bases their rebates/incentives/lease specials off of. I promise you Colorado is not doing these leases for $229/month with only $229 down. It's actually impossible. I notice people asking for price quotes on the thread. You won't get one because this deal does not exist. I live in Austin, Texas.

Reach out if you want the hook up.

I think they put the co $5350 state credit in the basket and come with the numbers to attract people. It is just a different presentation.
