The driving is kind of trial and error. I think they were trying to push players to build a car, test it out, then take it back to the shop to tweak, repeat. But yes, it can be infuriating, especially on some of the gold medal times when precision is required to pass.
For a game using a license targeted at kids and families, I was surprised at the lack of hand holding when it came to doing most of anything. I get that it's open world, but a Lego title shouldn't be one of those "where the hell am I supposed to go" games.
Agreed. Out of all the lego games, lego city is one of the best.
